Guild Hall NPC's
Why does the Guild Hall Skills Trainer not have Assassin or Ritualist skills listed or available?

I think skill trainers will only let you buy skills you have unlocked. If you don't have assassin or ritualist skills unlocked, you can't buy them.

Correct, there is a difference between a skill trader and a faction priest...
The faction priest allows you to unlock all skills runes and weapon mods using earned faction points from PvP. A Skill trader allows you to purchase skills you have unlocked for your PvE character... So that is just to clarify that for you.... Last edited by =HT=Ingram; Apr 30, 2006 at 02:43 AM // 02:43.. |

Incorrect on the unlocked assumption...
I can take my Canthan born Charater to a Skills Trainer in Cantha and get any of the Rt skills I have 'unlocked', but if I go to the Guild Hall - THAT Skills Trainer does not have those same skills available. That is the question I am asking. 100k for a Trainer that I canot purchase unlocked skills from is quite expensive. |

The skill trainer is for unlocked skills, the priests of balthazar let you unlock skills from faction gained in PvP,while trainers in each town may give new skills and the unlocked skills from your account as well. But, the big question is,why did I spend money on a Xunlai Agent that only gives me access to the same dam box i have access to in every damn town? Where is my "Real" Guild Hall storage?

I just said that the Skills Trainer in a town allows me all Canthan skills I unlocked and the one I spent 100k for my guild hall does not - that is the question here.

tlr1293, I can confirm exactly what you are talking about. As an assassin, the only things the skill trainer has is a Res Sig and Cap Sig.
Perhaps they need a screenshot to grasp the concept? |

The skill trainer for guildhalls only has CORE skills. Since assassin and ritualist are factions specific, he won't have their skills.

...That's stupid. Glad I didn't waste 100k on him then. Maybe it's a bug of some sort, and they'll fix it to match all the other skill trainers.

CORE skills now include Rt and A because with having Factions they are now CORE characters.
Maybe I should just go straight to Arena and bypass the lessors. |

You dont grasp the concept of CORE skill trainer.
There are THREE catagories of Skills now. ch1 Only Skills, ch2 Only Skills, and the "Core" set that are available nomatter what chapters you have on your account. If you only have Ch1, you have access to Ch1 skills, and core skills. If you only have ch2, you have access to ch2 skills, and core skills. ch2 skills = all rit and zin skills, and the 25 new skills per old classes. ch1 skills = About 40% of the skills you had in ch1. core skills = the other 60% (or so) of skills we wrongly related to ch1. The skill trainer for guild halls was advertised as a CORE skill seller. Meaning you arent going to get factions skills from it. They might change it in the future updates, but as of now it isnt bugged or anything...When you bought it you plainly read that you can only buy core skills form it..and you say it is only letting you buy.....core skills.... Just because you dont like the answer you got doesn't mean its wrong and they should Close the thread EDIT IN: dont beleive me? load up your ritualist and press k, then order your skills by campaign. Notice how ALL of your ritualist skills are under "Factions" heading and not core? Last edited by Former Ruling; Apr 30, 2006 at 06:15 PM // 18:15.. |

The Skill Trainer should teach all skills unlocked, not just "Core".
